ANNUAL MEETING AND ELECTIONS

Hi all, our Annual Meeting and Elections will be held on Saturday September 24th at our membership meeting starting at 10:00 am at Mulligans.  Elections will take place during this meeting.   We will be filling the following positions at our meeting: President, Vice President (currently vacant), Treasurer, Membership Secretary and 3 Board of Director positions.  Our nominating committee this year is Brian Fitzpatrick 715-340-6262, Diane Fitzpatrick 715-340-8824, and Pat Wisneski at: pjwisneski@mail.com If you are interested in any of these positions please call Brian or Diane or email Pat prior to Monday September 19th with your name and position you would like to serve.  Nominations will also be taken the day of the meeting from the floor.

The following is the position description for each position that is up for election:

President:  The President (or a Designee) shall serve as the chief elected officer of the Hidden Bear Trail ATV Club, shall reside at all meetings of the membership, Board of Directors and Executive Committee and shall appoint committees as set forth in these By-Laws.  This is a non-reimbursed position.

Vice President (vacant, normally elected in odd years):  The Vice-President shall exercise the powers and authority and perform the duties of the President in the absence of the President. Attend Board Meetings, attend Membership meetings and club events.  The Vice President will be responsible to take pictures at club meetings and events.  This is a non-reimbursed position.

Membership Secretary:  This position shall maintain a current membership list of each member of the club that includes pertinent contact information.  The membership secretary will be responsible to mail out annual membership notices and record payments.  Attend Board Meetings, attend Membership Meetings and Club Events.  This is a reimbursed position.  The amount will be determined by the Board of Directors.

Treasurer:  The Treasurer shall be responsible for the safeguarding of all funds received by the club and for their proper disbursement.  Such funds shall be kept on deposit in financial institutions or invested in a manner approved by the Board of Directors.  The treasurer shall create a monthly financial report to be made to the Board of Directors, and a financial statement to be made to Membership.  Attend Board Meetings, Membership Meetings and Club Events.  This is a reimbursed position.  The amount will be determined  by the Board of Directors.

Board of Directors:  The Board of Directors shall approve budgets and policies, represent interests of the membership at large in adopting policies, employ and evaluate employees and provide for fiscal accountability and adequacy of financial resources. Individual members shall participate in the deliberations and decisions of the board, and register dissent when in disagreement with the Board.  Attend Board Meetings, Membership Meetings and Club Events.  This is a non-reimbursed position.
