Hidden Bear Trail ATV Club Newsletter #3, 2021
LAST NEWSLETTER 2021: Where has the time gone? This will be our last newsletter of 2021, although there is still a month to ride your ATV/UTV’s, the Oconto County Trail Systems closes at midnight on Sunday November 7th. We have seen a large influx of new ATV/UTV rider’s in our area. At this time the latest ATV/UTV registration has increased over 20,000 new machines and it is only October. We have also seen an increase in our payed members, we now have a total of 204 payed members with a total membership over 350. Our club had a very successful year with keeping up with the yearly maintenance on our trail system. Thanks to all the members that make our club a success!!!
NEW ATV ROUTES: We were successful in getting 2 more sections of County Highways open for ATV travel. County Highway T in Doty from Markesan Lane to Eichoff Road is now open for ATV travel. This will allow trail access for property owners on Markesan, Sugar Bear and Hwy T, it will also allow rider’s from Island Lake Road and Star Lake Road area’s to access the trail system going both North to Townsend and South to Chute Pond Area. The other County Highway opened Is Hwy T in the Town of Doty from Bismarck to Highway W and Highway W to the Langlade County Line. This will allow property owners along those 2 segments to access the ATV Trails and allow access to the River Forest Campground in Langlade County. We are also working on getting a small portion of Hwy 55 in Langlade County opened from Hwy WW to Highway M in Langlade County to allow access to the Wolf River Trail in White Lake.
LAST CLUB RIDE, AND CLUB PICNIC: We held our club ride on Saturday September 25th, 2021. We rode over to Crooked Lake to enjoy the Dusty Trails and Crooked Trails end of the year Poker event. We had a total of 20 machines on the ride and enjoyed gorgeous weather with temperatures in the 70’s and beautiful fall colors. We then ended up at the School House Bar for our annual club picnic, this year we catered the food from Lakewood Super Valu. We served over 50 members. A special thanks to Clay & Chrissy from the School House Bar for working with our club, they also had their Octoberfest Party the same day but all worked out. Also a thanks to Lakewood Super Valu for a great catered meal.
