ANNUAL FUNDRAISER: Our annual fundraiser was held on Saturday August 17th.
Although the weather was not ideal, we still had a large crowd and went through all our meat
raffles. The Board of Directors would like to thank all members that helped Friday, Saturday &
Sunday. We had a crew of around 20 members on Friday to set up, almost 40 members that
helped the day of the event and 6 members that helped on Sunday to take down the remaining
tents that we could not take down on Saturday due to the rain that was pouring down when the
event was over. Thank you to everyone that attended and purchased cash raffle tickets, gun
raffle tickets and meat raffle tickets. All money made during the event will go back into
maintaining a safe and enjoyable ATV Trail System!!
TRAIL REPORT: We had 2 areas of emergency repair on our trail system, one washout was
on the trail between Hwy T and Blue Spruce Road that was repaired by Tim Stephani, one of our
Board Members, the other was between Hwy 32 and Island Lake Road and our contractor J & J
contracting repaired that washout. Both repairs were repaired the day after they were reported.
Thanks again to Tim & J & J contracting. We also had gravel put on a section of ATV trail
between Island Lake Road and Star Lake Road to cover up some of the rocks in that area
WEINERFEST: Our club members ran a 50-50 raffle during Weinerfest on Saturday July
27th. Our club raised a total of $1770.00 in a little over 2 hours with 6 club members’ helping
(Diane & Brian Fitzpatrick, Dave & Con-Bon Hedman & Jim & Pat Wisneski). Each Rescue
Department (Mountain Rescue & Lakewood/Townsend Rescue) received a check for $885.00
from our club.
NEXT CLUB MEETING, CLUB RIDE AND CLUB PICNIC: Our next and last Club
Meeting will be on Saturday September 21st at 10:00 am at Mulligan's Sports Bar on Hwy 32
south of Lakewood. During this meeting we will be having our annual elections and also will be
voting on changing our club bylaws. After the meeting we will have a club ride over to Waubee
Lake Lodge for lunch (lunch is on your own). We also will be having our Club Picnic the same
day starting at 4:00 pm at School House Bar and Grill in Mountain. The club will furnish all the
food (Broasted Chicken, Hot Dogs, Potato Salad etc) and 2 free drink tickets per member. This
year we have also scheduled a 2-piece band (JD Picker's) to play outside on the School House
stage from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Hope to see you there!!
ELECTIONS: During our club meeting on September 21st, we will have our annual elections.
