MEMBERSHIP MEETING: We had our 2nd membership meeting for 2023 on Saturday August 19th at Animal’s Bear Trail Inn at Noon just prior to our Annual Fundraiser. The meeting was held outdoors, it was a beautiful day and we had a total of 37 member’s in attendance. We have a total of 211 paying members, with 106 – one year members and 105 – five year members. After the meeting we held our 11th annual Fundraiser, our attendance was fantastic, we went through all of our meat raffles by 4:00 pm. Again thanks everyone who attended and helped out setting up, working at the fundraiser and taking everything down and cleaning up. It was another very successful fundraiser!!

TOWNSHIP ORDINANCES: The Town of Riverview and the Town of Lakewood both have changed their ATV/UTV speed limits to the same as vehicle traffic on their town roads. Townsend and Doty have kept their speed limits at 20mph. Our goal was to get the local townships to be consistent on their speed limits but it does not look like that will happen.

ANNUAL ELECTIONS: We will be holding our annual elections at our next membership meeting on Saturday September 30th at 10:00 am. The location of the meeting and more info on the elections will be emailed and mailed to all members.

DNR SAFETY INSTRUCTOR’S AND DNR TRAIL AMBASSADOR: We are looking for volunteers that may be interested in becoming a DNR ATV/UTV Safety Instructor and a DNR Trail Ambassador. There is a shortage of DNR Safety Instructor’s throughout the state, which means more young rider’s are taking the course on-line rather than through a classroom training environment. If you are interested in either of these position please reply to this email.

NEXT MEMBERSHIP MEETING: Our next membership meeting will be held on Saturday September 30th at 10:00 am. The location is still to be determined. We will let everyone know the location via another email. After the meeting that day we will ride to Crooked Trails for lunch and attend the Crooked Trails end of the year poker event. We will also be holding our annual club picnic at the Schoolhouse Bar the same day starting at 4:00 pm. The club will furnish all the food and 2 drink tickets for each member. Please mark your calendars. More info to follow.
2024-2025 OCONTO COUNTY ATV MAP: We will be starting to prepare for the next Oconto County ATV Map this September. The map will be available in the Spring of 2024 for the 2024-2025 season. The committee that has been doing the map is looking for volunteers to help with the planning and preparing the new map. If you are interested in volunteering to help with this project, reply to this email or call Jim at 920-562-7872.
