We are writing to remind you of the importance of safety while operating your ATVs/UTVs on the trail system in Oconto County. The first thing ATV/UTV riders should do when riding in Oconto County is to read the over-and-above restrictions that are in place for the area. It is essential to be aware of the specific regulations that are in effect for the county, as these may differ from other counties and states.

The red sentence below will take you to a link, which will provide a copy of the current Wisconsin ATV/UTV Laws.  Just click on that link.

Knowing the details of these restrictions can help riders stay safe, avoid fines, and ensure that they are following the law.

We urge all ATV and UTV operators to exercise caution and be mindful of other trail users. Respect the right of way of other users and yield as necessary. Pay particular attention to blind curves and hills, as well as crossing traffic. Do not exceed the speed limit, which is posted along the trails.

It is also important to remember to wear the appropriate safety gear, such as a helmet, eye protection, and other protective gear. Children should always be supervised when operating an ATV or UTV, and all riders should be aware of the appropriate age requirements for operating a motorized vehicle on the trail system.

We hope that everyone enjoys the trails responsibly and safely. Thank you for your cooperation.
