HIDDEN BEAR TRAIL ATV CLUB NEWSLETTER #2. 2025
FUNDRAISER AND MEMBERSHIP MEETING: Our 13th annual fundraiser was held on Saturday,
August 16th at Animal's Bear Trail Inn, Mountain WI. Despite the early showers, the day was a
success!!! The crowd was down some but we did manage to get through all of our Meat Raffles.
TRAIL REPORT: Our contractor did some work on the ATV/UTV trail between Blue Spruce and Hwy
T in the Town of Doty. The work that was completed eliminated some areas that were starting to
have some washouts. The Langlade Park & Forestry Department will be starting to work on the
proposed ATV/UTV Trail between Traxel Point Road and Fish Hatchery Road sometime this fall.
They will be putting in gates in some of the areas to keep vehicle traffic off of the new trail area. The
White Lake ATV Club and our Club will be working together on this section, along with the section
along Hwy 64 between Fish Hatchery and Cemetery Road in conjunction with the new rec wing on
the new Hwy 64 bridge. Work on the wing and bridge is scheduled to start in 2027.
CLUB RIDE: We had our only club ride this year on Saturday July 19th. The ride started at the
Lakewood Trailhead, traveled west into Langlade County, we stopped at Norm's Hollow for lunch and
then proceeded south on the very nice Langlade County Trail System to White Lake. From White
Lake we proceeded back to Lakewood to complete the loop. We had a total of 13 machines with 21
total riders. The loop with lunch was around 100 miles and took about 8 hours including lunch.
MARDI GRAS PARADE: Our club had a float in this year’s Mardi Gras Parade in Lakewood WI on
Sunday July 20th. We had 20 members, a float and about 10 machines. The float was decorated
with a stuffed bear, surrounded by 2 Xmas trees decorated in Mardi Gras decorations. All the
members wore a Jester Hat. Our club won first place and received a $100.00 bill!!!
