CLUB MEETING, CLUB RIDE AND CLUB PICNIC: On September 21st we held our last membership meeting at Mulligan’s Sport Bar, we had a total of 35 members present. We had a total of 20 people on our club ride, the weather was beautiful but a little early for the fall color’s. We had lunch at Waubee Lodge on the deck. After the return ride, we had our annual club picnic at Schoolhouse Bar & Grill in Mountain. A total of 55 people attended and were entertained by a 2-piece band, JD Picker’s. The food was great, and the music kept people around.
CLUB ELECTIONS: Our annual club elections was also held at the September 21st membership meeting. The following was the result of the elections: Jim Wisneski, re-elected as President, Dawn Schmocker re-elected as Membership Secretary, Brian Fitzpatrick elected as the new
Treasurer, Mike Richling, Bob Goble and Dave Hedman were elected to serve as Board of Director’s and Dean Strube was elected at the last Board Meeting to replace Ron Hermsen for a term of one year. A special thanks was given to our outgoing treasurer Tom Suidzinski, who served for
12 years. Also, a special thanks to Ron Hermsen for serving on the board. Ron has agreed to continue to update and manage our website.
TRAILS: Our club received an ORV grant to repair some of our trails between Hwy 32 and Star Lake Road. Oconto County has completed that work, and you should notice quite a difference on the trails in that area. S special thanks was given to the members that cleaned out our waterbars throughout the year.
LETS RIDE EXPO: The Wisconsin ATV Association (WATVA) will be having a “Let’s Ride Expo” on May 2nd – May 4th. 2025 at the Oshkosh WI Sunnyview Expo Center. The purpose of this expo is to get more people involved in the ATV Sport. There will be Vendors, Food Trucks, Events, Where to Ride
and Club Booths. You can find more info about it on the WATVA website or visit our club website at: www.hiddenbeartrailatvclub.com. As we get more information it will be posted on our website.
OCONTO COUNTY ATV TRAILS: This year the Oconto County ATV Trails will close on Sunday November 3rd at 11:59 pm. The Oconto County Highways that are open now will remain open year-round, along with most of the local townships roads in the area.
CLUB RENEWALS: The one year club renewals will expire on December 31st, 2024 and the renewal notices will be mailed out in November or early December. The 5-year members, if due, will be mailed out the same time.
