2026 Summer Newsletter

NEWSLETTER – July 2026
GREETINGS:  Hi all, the 2026 ATV/UTV season is in full swing and I hope you have been out to enjoy the trails.
MEMBERSHIP:  This spring we mailed all of our members a copy of the 2026-2027 Oconto County ATV Map and a club 2026 Calendar of Events.  Hopefully you can attend some of these events.  Currently membership stands at 190 members.  The Board of Directors would like to thank every member for joining our club!!
UPDATE ON ATV/UTV TRAIL TO CONNECT OCONTO & LANGLADE COUNTY:  Currently Langlade County is working on getting the trail from Traxel Point to Fish Hatchery Road.  They are putting up gates to keep vehicles off of the trail in certain locations.  Once completed this trail will be open for both snowmobile and ATV/UTV travel.  From Fish Hatchery Road to Cemetery Road they have moved the gas main along Hwy 64 Right of Way and should start working on the trail in that area soon..  This could be open as soon as this fall or early next year.  Once this trail is open the 2 counties will be connected from the Nicolet State Trail in Oconto County to the Wolf River Trail in Langlade County. (The Highway 64 Bridge in Langlade is currently open for ATV/UTV Travel)
UPDATE ON HIGHWAY 64 BRIDGE IN LANGLADE:  The new recreational wing along with a new highway bridge in Langlade is still on schedule for 2027.
A FEW REMINDERS:  We have emailed or mailed info regarding the following but just wanted to remind everyone of some of our upcoming events:  Club Ride taking place on Saturday July 18th, Mardi Gras Parade on Sunday July 19th and our Annual Fundraiser on August 15th.  We are still looking for help for that day, if you can spare 2 hours, please contact Jim at 920-562-7872 or email at:  hbtprez@gmail.com.
STORAGE CONTAINER:  The Board of Directors approved a purchase of a 40 X 8 X 9.5 foot storage container.  We gave up the storage building on Hwy T and Animals Bear Trail Inn was kind enough to have our storage container placed on his property at no cost.  (Thanks Mike & Ben).  We have all of our tables, chairs and tents stored in the container and it will make it much easier to set up at our Annual Fundraiser each year.
