2026 SPRING LETTER
Another ATV/UTV season is just around the corner, the Oconto County ATV Trails open Saturday April 25, 2026 (weather permitting). We will keep all of our members informed of the exact date they will open or you can visit our website at: www.hiddenbeartrailatvclub.com or the Oconto County website at: www.ocontocounty.org. Hope this letter finds everyone in good health and looking forward to the ATV Season. Enclosed is our 2026 Calendar of Events.
Also enclosed is a new 2026-2027 Oconto County ATV Map. The front cover features 3 of our Board of Director’s that worked with Oconto County Tourism in late September to get some great photo’s. Over 500 pictures were taken in different locations along the trail. The front cover picture on the Nicolet State Trail is just south of Highway 32 and Paya Lake Road.
Our Wisconsin ATV Association (WATVA) will be sponsoring a “Let’s Ride Expo” in Oshkosh WI on May 1ST (Clubs only) and May 2nd (open to the public) at the Sunnyview Expo Center. The public is invited to attend this expo, our ATV Club will have a booth at the Expo Center to promote ATV Safety and to get members from the public to get involved in the sport. All members are also welcome to attend. Please visit the WATVA website for up-to-date info.
We received good news from a letter from the WI DOT that the new Recreational Wing on a new bridge across the Wolf River in Langlade is on schedule for 2027 or possibly 2026. Also the DOT has approved Langlade County’s request to build a trail along Hwy 64 from Fish Hatchery Road to Cemetery Road. Will update members as these projects progress.
Our annual fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday August 15th, 2026 at Animal’s Bear Trail Inn from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Please mark your calendar. Please try to attend our June 27th meeting to sign up to help at the Fundraiser. We also have our $100.00 cash raffle tickets available to purchase. If you are interested in purchasing a ticket contact Jim at: 920-562-7872 or email at hbtprez@gmail.com First prize is $6000.00 again this year with 31 other cash prizes. We are selling an additional 50 tickets this year (250 total) with the same percentage of payout (70)% and 1 in 8 chances to win.
