2025 NEWSLETTER #3
MEMBERSHIP MEETING AND CLUB PICNIC: We held our last membership meeting of 2025 on Saturday September 20th at 3:00 pm at the Schoolhouse Bar in Mountain and held our club picnic at 4:00 pm at the same location. We had 43 people at the meeting and 62 at our club picnic. The club furnished all the food, music and 2 drink tickets to each member. The rain held out until the picnic was done at 7:00 pm. The food was catered by the SuperValu Store in Lakewood. They did an excellent job in preparing the food.
CLUB ELECTIONS: We also held our annual elections during the membership meeting with the following results: Vice President: Ron Schmoker, Administrative Secretary: Diane Fitzpatrick, and Board of Directors Tim Stephani, Dean Strube and Dave Pitterle. Congratulations to these individuals to step up and volunteer their time.
TRAIL UPDATE: During this year we filled in a wash-out between Island Lake Road and Highway 32. We also did some work on the trail between Blue Spruce and Highway T. We are continuing to work with Langlade County to open an ATV/UTV Trail between Traxel Point Road to Cemetery Road. This fall they will be putting gates in on some of the sections between Traxel Point Road to Fish Hatchery Road. Next summer, the work along Highway 64, from Fish Hatchery Road to Cemetery Road, should begin with a possible open date of the fall of 2026 or Spring of 2027. The new rec wing on the new Hwy 64 bridge is scheduled for 2027.
OCONTO COUNTY ATV MAP: We are currently working on the new 2026-2027 ATV Map. All members will receive a new map with the spring letter in April of 2026. If anyone has seen any issues with the current map, please email Jim at: hbtprez@gmail.com.
OCONTO COUNTY ATV/UTV TRAILS: The Oconto County ATV/UTV Trails will close Sunday November 2nd. Most town roads are open year-round, but please check before going out!!!
